What is the difference between a Piano Tuner and a Piano Technician?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Sometimes, nothing. In other cases, quite a lot.

A piano tuner tunes pianos, but may or may not be trained to repair and adjust the action of the piano.

A Piano Technician is trained to do both. A piano technician is skilled in keeping the entire piano in top condition at all times.

When mechanical issues arise, the technician will be able to recommend and perform the appropriate repairs.
